26.6.14, E. Charpentier wins Dr. Paul Janssen Award
The former faculty member of the DoktoratsKolleg RNA Biology Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier (now Hannover Medical School and Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research) wins the 2014 Dr. Paul Janssen Award for Biomedical Research together with Dr. Jennifer Doudna (Univ. of California at Berkeley and Howard Hughes Medical Institute).
Krzysztof Chylinski started his PhD work in Dr. Charpentier’s lab at the Max F. Perutz Laboratories (MFPL) and though he stayed at MFPL he is still working with her since she moved to Umea University and further to the Helmholtz Centre. He will defend his thesis on CRISPR in autumn 2014.
