25.9.19, European Researchers’ Night 2019: Hands-On Station with Open Science
Our Doctoral Program DK RNA Biology at the Max Perutz Labs has teamed up with Open Science for the European Researchers’ Night on Friday 27 September 2019 to bring the topic of CRISPR/Cas closer to the general public.
In simplified ways the station will feature:
-) visualizations of CRISPR/Cas complex, its mechanism and action in the cell by a 3D-model & videos,
-) exhibits & latest info on potential fields of application,
-) an interactive “CRISPR-Game” where visitors can “repair” a point mutation in the hemoglobin gene that causes the sickle cell disease,
-) finally a visitors’ poll.
Everybody is welcome!
